Captive Portal allows administrators to block internet access for users until they complete a defined process. With Captive Portal you can:

  • Require users to view or accept an Acceptable Use Policy before accessing the internet (e.g. Public WiFi)

  • Configure Captive Portal to be displayed only at certain times

  • Authenticate users against Untangle's Local Directory, RADIUS or Microsoft Active Directory (requires Directory Connector)

    • Untangle Captive Portal (Free) enables organizations to display a mandatory default web page to all users, before they are able to access the internet.

    Untangle Captive Portal facilitates:

  • Enforcing terms of use acceptance
  • Enforcing authentication of web users
