Why was eSoft sold?
eSoft, in conjunction with its directors, saw an opportunity to place the company with an organization that is fully capitalized and growing. Untangle is in a unique position to service eSoft customers and help them transition to a similar, but more fully featured, product.
How will this change impact employees? Customers?
eSoft operations have ceased. Select eSoft employees have joined Untangle; that team remains headquartered in Colorado in a new office in Westminster. Channel partners and customers are fully supported by eSoft technical support through the end of 2014. In the meantime, we will work with them to transition to Untangle products.

What happens to eSoft resellers?
Untangle brings a unique direct-reseller model that has allowed them to optimize their go-to-market approach. eSoft resellers will have access to a more fully featured UTM product designed for SMB, as well as a streamlined fulfillment model that allows them to purchase for their customers directly from the Untangle website. eSoft resellers will enjoy the same margins they had with eSoft, as well as have access to a generous trade up program for their existing customers.
