Last Monday we made our software and service 100% free for networks with 10 or less users. As we are quick to point out this makes our software free for almost 75% of small businesses in the US. The obvious and common question has been, “Why would you do that?”

After a recent discussion with the CEO and VP marketing of Untangle, they not only agreed that a founder’s blog would be a good idea but actively encouraged it. So now I sit wondering if I can wield the double-edged sword known as corporate blogging and if I have just signed away what little free time I have remaining in my life. I hope those answers are yes and no, respectively. In due time, we shall see.
